Welcome

Give us your feedback

BSLBT has now been going for a year, and we want to find out what you think of our programmes and our progress. It will help us write our response to Ofcom, the broadcasting regulator, who are carrying out a review of how the new arrangements for signing on television are working out.

Please help us by filling out the attached questionnaire and sending it back as soon as possible. It will only take a couple of minutes and we would really appreciate it. And if you have any further comments on our programmes or on how BSLBT is working, please do send us those as well.

All feedback will be anonymous – we would not give anybody’s name or contact details to anyone else.

What is the BSLBT?

Welcome to the British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust (BSLBT) website.

The British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust (BSLBT) was established in 2008 to increase the amount of sign-presented programming on television.

The BSLBT intends to offer more choice for BSL viewing, and more opportunities for Deaf people to work both on and behind the camera.

You will have seen a change in your current viewing, with many channels switching from offering sign-interpreted programming to programming funded through the BSLBT.

Virgin Media, ITV, Sky, and Channel 4 are some of the Broadcasters involved, with members of the Deaf Community, in the Trust to oversee this exciting development.

When do the programmes go out?
