Dr Buff meets Mark Gill for another Wicked Appointment - and recommends a film set in one of the most dangerous cities on the planet.
Mark might be scared, but will he give the film the thumbs up?
Dr Buff writes:
City of Men is a little different to City of God. It doesn't focus on gang violence as much as the first film, and is essentially a 'coming of age' tale.
Having grown up together in the sun-soaked favelas of Rio, two best friends are about to turn 18, and face leaving fun and freedom behind as they become adults.
Now for the first time, they are faced with adult problems.
Both of the friends have fathers who are not there, and as war breaks out between rival gangs in the favelas, the boys make a shocking discovery about their fathers which threatens to shatter their friendship.
The film is visually frenetic (or energetic) and colourful and really captures the spirit of the streets of Brazil, in a similar way to the first film.
