Tell us about yourself! My tale is rather unusual. When my parents married they migrated to Jamaica to work there. My father was a supermarket manager and my mother worked in advertising. When I was born the Jamaican doctors weren't sure if I was deaf and if so, how to help me. So my parents moved back to the UK, where I could benefit from better facilities for the deaf.

What kind of character are you? I'm a fun-loving fellow. My motto is "Exhaust all possibilities before they are exhausted for you." I think people are always interesting and I enjoy listening to their stories.

How have you landed your new role with Wicked as the History strand presenter?

I reached the final of the Wicked Auditions for the new male presenter and narrowly missed out to Lee Robbo who did a great job. Wicked said they would keep me in mind for any future roles and when the offer came for the History presenter, I snapped it up!

What does history mean to you? History is always valuable. We are lucky to have memories so we can remember the past and learn from our successes and mistakes, to make the future a better place. I was very surprised to learn about deaf people who had played a major role in history and proud to be given the role in retelling these forgotten legends. It's important we preserve our deaf history as it can teach us about our role models and inspire us to match their achievements. I'm looking forward to learning more!

What's it like presenting for the first time, were you nervous? Having previous camera and acting experience helped a lot, I was prepared for remembering my lines, but not for the weather! So far I've presented in heavy snow and rain - you just have to get on with it!

What skills and qualities are you bringing to Wicked? Generally I just do my job and help out where I can - I have strong arms so I help carry the camera equipment! Haha!

Describe yourself in three words. Passionate, flexible, knowledgeable.

What would you like to see more of on Wicked? I'm hoping more people watch Wicked because Wicked is starting to provide some really good entertainment value! The history strand is really interesting and I'm looking forward to the new series of the Fingerspellers which is really funny!
