
Wicked is produced by Remark! Production, an award winning team established in 1999.
Remark! Production is the largest Deaf production company in the UK, specialising in broadcast programming, and video production. We create our award winning productions entirely in-house, from initial concept to delivery. Our team is made up of specialists that cover all areas of the process from development to writing, filming, editing, technical support and onscreen graphics.
Remark! specialises in producing broadcast material of the highest quality using the latest media technology for both Deaf and hearing audiences. We recently won an award for best programme at 'Deaffest', Radar, and Signature awards for our high level of accessibility and accuracy in the use of BSL on screen.
In the last ten years, Remark! has employed over 140 Deaf people both in front of, and behind the camera. We currently have 10 full time staff in production and use a wide range of freelancers from the deaf community. 80% of our team are Deaf and all are BSL users.
In ten years the company has contributed to the production of hundreds of programmes, filmed thousands of tapes and brewed around 94,000 cups of tea! Clients of Remark! include: BBC TV, BSB Sky, Channel 4, Deafinitely Theatre, NDCS, RNID, NSPCC, the Department of Health, and Maverick TV. The company have also worked on Deaf programmes such as Vee-TV (Channel 4), The Vibe (Channel 4), and See Hear (BBC2).
