FAQs

This section covers Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

Q: Who decides how the budget is allocated?

The Board of Directors are responsible for setting and monitoring the budget.  Budgets have been set up for the following: management costs, core costs and programme costs.

Q: How can production companies tender?

Production companies may tender according to the tendering requirements of each strand. The Trust has devised a simple ‘Guide to Tendering’ template.

Q: How are the production companies and their tender(s) chosen?

The BSLBT Board of Directors meet to review the tender submissions and choose the best tender proposal(s) and commission them as soon as possible after the closing date.

Q: What happens if I have an idea or proposal – how do I get it commissioned?

BSLBT is keen to develop new initiatives and talent but regretfully we cannot give funding to individuals.  If you have an idea or proposal you need to seek a production company that will submit your tender, or work on a co-production basis with them.
