Extend – BBC Disability Scheme UK-wide
Exclusively for disabled people, Extend is a BBC-wide work placement scheme which offers an opportunity to gain six months’ paid work experience within the BBC.
From September 2011, 21 placements will be available across the UK, in both programming areas and programme support areas. You’ll need to match the criteria for the placement as well as demonstrate a keen interest in broadcasting and knowledge of BBC output.

We are delighted to announce that Steven Wynne is joining BSLBT on 31st January as our Outreach Worker.
Steven, aged 27, is from Beckenham. He worked at Dering Employment for three and a half years as a Training Development Officer. Before that, he was Young Person’s Project Co-ordinator at Greenwich Association of Disabled People. He is very active in sports, is the Secretary of the England Deaf Football Association, and also currently a coach, treasurer and secretary of Charlton Athletic Deaf Football Club.
The Picture This Film Festival in Calgary, Canada is screening many of our Zoom 2010 short films
Go Ahead, All Day, Me and My Wacky Doctor and Game of Life
