- Two Deaf Trustees, whose first, or preferred, language is BSL
- Two hearing Trustees

Australia’s only disability film festival is calling for films made by, with or about people with a disability, disabled or Deaf.

Films may be any form, genre or length.

Life Out There – a new drama commissioned by BSLBT – ACTORS REQUIRED

VS1 are looking for deaf and hearing actors to fill the roles as outlined below:

The story follows Billy who lives with and cares for his father who was injured in an accident whilst serving in the RAF. As Billy confronts his issues he begins to discover his fate.

The auditions will be held on the 3rd and 7th of March in Bristol and on the 10th of March in London. Filming in April

Hollyoaks are looking for a 16 year old deaf male actor

Hollyoaks are looking for a 16 year old deaf male actor (or older actor who can realistically look 16), to play a new role in Hollyoaks. It would start at the end of February for a few weeks, and then during the summer become a regular role in the show, filming in Liverpool.

104 Films are looking for deaf & disabled people that are interested in trainee roles on a feature film.

The training areas would be in: Directing, Camera, Production, Sound, Art Department, Makeup/costume

Please email Michelle Eastwood if you’re interested, sending a CV and a very short paragraph on your past experience and why you’d like to be a trainee.

The scheme is not confirmed, but they would like to know if you are interested in being involved.
