We are pleased to announce that following filmmakers have been awarded funding as part of the ‘Zoom’ short film strand:
Ted Evans with ‘G.A. (Go Ahead)’
Ted has been a songwriter for 8 years, and has composed music for films such as Skye, and the BSLBT’s Wicked. He is passionate about film making and has worked on several documentaries and a children’s TV programmes.
Giles Bowman with ‘Vanishing’
Giles has worked with the BBC and freelance for Deafeatures Ltd. Giles is skilled in CGI and has produced graphics for a wide range of programs. This will be his Directorial debut.
Jonathan Reid with “A Deaf Life”
Jonathan has worked on two acclaimed Deaf comedy shows of recent years; Text, Batteries and Earwax and The Association.
Matthew Gurney with “My Wacky Doctor and Me”
Hailing from Doncaster, Matthew has been spent the past 6 years working as an actor and TV presenter. Having a real passion for comedy, the Zoom award marks a great opportunity for him to try out his comedic talent behind the camera
Nadia Nadarajah with ‘All Day’
Nadia has a strong background in BSL training and has more recently moved into a new role at remark! Access as a BSL tutor.
Nick Sturley with “The Game of Life”
Nick has experience in directing and producing, as well writing ‘MILAN’ for which he was awarded DaDa Best Literary Artist of 2006.
